flowing gently as Sunshine Ray

sat in sweet contemplation.

Her days now so happy

her view free and bright.

Her life story throughout

the countryside

so treasured

so dear.

Let us walk by her side

through each pasture of her life.

Wastelands in the distance

now barren and bare

represent her early years

once so full of pain

so full of sadness;

an echo so hollow

discarded into

the realms of yesteryear;

each feeling

fading ;

each sharp edge blunt ;

a lesson learnt

a journey travelled

a story shared !!

In another pasture

newly planted

seedlings

sprouting;

young

tender

and so so

precious;

eternally full of a

promising strength

filling

every young heart

with

a swell

so proud

so resilient

so precious.

A scene ,

a promise ,

so radiant

so obvious

so true

to share with each child

each beautiful young heart!!!

In the next pasture she sees

today's

heathers and blossoms

paving each path with

their beauty

filling her heart

filling her being

with a joy so true.

Each soft blossom

echoes the love

in her heart,

her pride,

her spirit.

The beauty in her soul

radiates

bright and

oh so eager

to new heights;

through to each dark corner

which were

until that moment

unlit

dark

and

foreboding !!!

Her journey

lined with

care

love

and a deep faith.

Each colour of

faith and hope

seeping to fill each niche.

Finally she sees a pasture

of fresh green grass;

flowing beautifully

into her tomorrows.

This pasture laid out

as a plain green canvas

for her to paint.

With her heart she will conjure

the colours of her days yet to come;

with her soul

she will paint

from deep within.

A true picture

for her

children

her grandchildren

and all

to learn

to follow

to absorb

to contemplate.

Her legacy

she will

leave behind ;

a legacy

tinged with sadness;

but painted

with colours so warm and so strong !!!

A legacy

of strength

of beauty

of humour

and finally a legacy of truth

of honesty

of compassion

and created

from every

deep crevice

of her

heart and soul.

Thank you Mother Nature

for the love you have shared

the beauty you've created

and eternally cared...................................

Thank you for your teaching

for that road to follow

for sharing the light

not in darkness did I wallow....................

Thank you for your hand

obstacles so testing;

some days so bleak

but a spirit so winning...............................

Thank you for your guidance

I am always in your debt

how my spirit rejoices

the best to come yet.......................

Thank you for your faith

filling my being with love

my heart sings out loud

to the heavens above..................................
